About Department of Life Long Learning and Extension Unit
The Department of Life Long Learning and Extension Unit (DLLE) was established on academic year 2016-17 at college level. The students are enrolled in various projects undertaken under DLLE. There are 6 different projects prescribed by University of Mumbai which are useful for creating social awareness in the society. These Projects are related to Information Technology, Entrepreneurship, Career Guidance and so on. The college students are enrolled for these projects and perform various activities for the social awareness on various issues/ problems in society. The student is awarded ten additional marks at the final exam for a project on completion of 120 hours of work and submission of a Project Report.
Besides these projects, students have been participating in various activities such as Anti Plastic Rally, Awareness campaign on ‘Respect to Flag’, Poster making competition on different issues in society. The Institution has been associated with the Indian Blind Organization, located in Tamilnadu and every year conducts Donation Drive and collects maximum amount to donate and support to blind people.
Apart from this, the students of DLLE visit since last 3 years to NGO, ‘Vastlaya’ of Orphanage at Sanpada and distribute food, stationery and other necessary items as per their demand. To protect environment and sensitize students towards environment, E-Waste Drive also conducted under the banner of DLLE. The DLLE student has been participating in Udaan Festival every year organized by University of Mumbai.
