The department of economics dedicatedly and intensively labours to achieve competency for its students in the field of Micro Economics, Macroeconomics, International Economics, Research methodology, History of Economic thoughts, environmental economics, Growth and development etc;
In depth study of the current financial standing of the country and world as a whole is studied and discussed at all levels and ways and means to study the growth of the nation are researched. The department strives to create fine economists for the nation. Apart from the classroom teaching lot of emphasis is given to practical learning through field visits, expert lectures, and research activities within the institute and by inviting scholars from outside.
The department aspires to reach standard of excellence in teaching and research. The collective efforts have resulted into our students gaining respectable position after completing their curriculum. The performance of our girls is well appreciated by the employers and the society which is a proud reward to the institution.
