Students’ Council is an organization elected and managed by students with the help
of the faculty and the Principal of the college. The students’ council is the voice of the
student body. The purpose of the students’ council is to give students an opportunity
to develop leadership by planning, organizing and carrying out college activities and
outreach programmes. They help share student ideas, feedback, interests and
concerns with the college authorities.
As per the guidelines of the University of Mumbai, a democratic process is used to
elect the members of the students’ council. They work under the supervision of a
teacher in charge and learn about the democratic process, civic responsibility,
leadership, problem solving, and teamwork. The council actively participates in all
the academic, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities of the college throughout
the year.
